Guidance for the Correct Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
When caring for patients with a suspected or proven COVID-19/SARS-CoV-2 infection, the level of protection you
depends on the environment you are working in. This website asks you questions about your working environment and
then shows you a video about the correct use of the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) you must use when caring
for COVID-19 patients. This website is a general resource for NHS health workers, providing simple, area based and
accessible visual guidelines on the correct use of PPE for COVID-19.
I confirm that I have read and understand the text at the bottom of this page.
This website is for information purposes only and each individual hospital or employing organisation may have
own specific guidance or policies relating to PPE that would take precedence. This website is updated on a regular
basis, although, given the dynamic situation we are all facing with COVID-19, we cannot guarantee the techniques
information set out in this website are the most up to date. Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust

guidance or the local guidance issued by individual employing organisations; or (ii) any harm arising from acting
